From day one our researchers were members of the growing Embedded Intelligence community.

Our researchers benefitted from a range of cohort-based activities allowing them to share expertise, expand their professional network and become conversant across the embedded intelligence landscape.

Examples of those activities include:

  • Group projects
  • Foresight seminars and reading clubs
  • Peer-to-peer learning experience through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) training
  • Coaching and mentoring through inter-cohort activities
  • Student-led Summer Schools

You can learn more about our graduated researchers by visiting the cohort directory.

“I really like the cohort aspect of the CDT. There are a lot of people who are part of the centre, but from different departments and have diverse backgrounds. You’re exposed to lots of interesting research that you might not have come into contact with on a traditional PhD, and you have access to facilities and expertise from two Universities. Between these, there is a very supportive network of Centre Directors, Managers and Researchers.” David Czerski, Cohort 2
